JAMIE
JAMIEOwner and Founder of JAMZ dance

Jamie Beirne founded JAMZdance in September 2012 after travelling the world, following her graduation from Roehampton University in Sport Psychology. It was the course that inspired Jamie to create the company as she learned through her final dissertation how important sport and dance could be in the development of a person (whatever the age or ability). The course gave Jamie an understanding of the significance of wellbeing and how a good mental wellbeing helps to improve ones self in all aspects of their life.

The ethos of JAMZ dance is to ‘love life’ and Jamie’s main aim is to portray this through all JAMZ dance classes and ensure everyone is happy and enjoying themselves. A key emphasis Jamie likes to focus on is building confidence and the satisfaction gained from improving ones wellbeing. Seeing others grow as a person has proved to be priceless and continues to motivate Jamie.

Since 2012 JAMZ dance has grown from strength to strength and now works with over 350 toddlers, children and adults within the local community.

Leila has a degree in Dance and Culture, which included a year working within the industry, a BTEC National Diploma in Performing Arts where she achieved 3 Distinctions, Grade 3 Ballet (BA) and Grade 4 Ballet (ISTD).
